This week's feature album Classic Objects comes from Oslo-based musician, composer and writer Jenny Hval.
The Norwegian-born and one time Melbourne-based singer-songwriter, record producer, musician, and novelist has released eight solo albums: two under the alias Rockettothesky and six full-lengths under her own name including this, which is also her first on famed imprint 4AD.
Classic Objects is a map of places. Past places, like the old empty Melbourne pubs Hval’s band used to play in; public places Hval missed throughout lockdown; imagined, future places; and impossible places where dreams, hallucinations, death and art can take you.
Classic Objects is out now via 4AD.
Tune in to PBS all this week to hear tracks from the album, and PBS Members have the chance to win a copy of the record via Tuesday’s e-newsletter. Not a member? Join now!
