Cheeky Geezers are a band of young teenage misfits who are living proof that age is no barrier when it comes to playing unadulterated rock’n’roll. In their short but illustrious career so far, the fiery trio of Teddy Friend, Nick Costa, and Rex Everett, have already graced the stage alongside such indie rock legends as EVEN, The Meanies, and The Hard-Ons.
The trio have already put out a couple of digital releases through Cheersquad Records and Tapes, ‘Coming To Me’ and ‘Isolation Time,’ both of which convey teenage ennui and frustration, albeit done in an energetic and exuberant pop punk kind of way.Inspired by the likes of Green Day, The Living End, Pennywise and Fu Manchu, it is with this energy that Cheeky Geezers recorded a set on MUUZOstream, Channel 31’s weekly program of live music performances. PBS has teamed up with MUUZOstream to give you this session in its entirety on Kev Lobotomi’s Shock Treatment as part of Studio 5 Live.
Make sure you tune in to Shock Treatment on April 13 to catch this session from this promising young band.
PBS Studio 5 Live is proudly presented by our mates at Mountain Goat.
