January marks the start of a new year and with that, PBS introduces a few changes to the on-air program roster. Changes create opportunities and we’re delighted to hear some new voices on our station, while also hearing some familiar programs in new timeslots. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Kristen Solury brings the dark gothy grooves of Bleeding Black Hearts Revue to the new time of 8pm Wednesdays, while Ryan Evans cranks it up every Tuesday at midnight with Tyrannocoreus moving into a weekly slot. If you like your music a little heavier, and perhaps a little darker, then PBS has you covered.
We also welcome two brand new shows to our overnight schedule. On alternate Wednesday mornings from 2am – 6am you’ll hear DJ Matab and his mix of mostly Arabic beats on Dounya every fortnight. The wee small hours of Friday then see Brooke Kymberley take to the airwaves with the subtle strains of Melancholics Anonymous every fortnight between 2am and 6am.
