PBS is proud to present Passing Notes LIVE from Music Market at Collingwood Yards, Friday September 22. Tickets for the in person event have sold out, listen in LIVE 8pm - 10pm Friday September 22.
Hosted every Friday from 8 ‘til 10pm by local electronic stalwart Pjenné, Passing Notes is a rich and dynamic reflection of the local electronic music scene. Exploring all corners of the underground, Passing Notes reflects the flow of a night out; from early evening soundscapes, synth and electronic oddities right through to the early morning, where dance floor confessions are revealed in the form of leftfield dance music both new and old.
Delivering a set of sonic and propulsive exploration, this one's going to have BIG Friday night energy. Happening over the hours of 7 'til 11pm, Penny will be joined by the experimental and percussive sounds of OK EG. A project of Melbourne based producers Lauren Squire and Matthew Wilson, OK EG generates spaces between hypnotic polyrhythms and lush ambiance. Taking an improvisational approach to live techno, they draw from natural textural soundscapes to speculate on rich sonic worlds of inhabitation.
Opening and closing proceedings will be regular Passing Notes guest announcer, Marley Swain.
Passing Notes LIVE in-person event will happen over the hours of 7 'til 11pm. For those tuning in, the broadcast hours will be 8 'til 10pm as per the weekly program.
