Friends and brothers alike, instrumental dance outfit Intermood embrace the raw edge reminiscent of their formative musical experiences on Naarm/Melbourne’s dancefloors. Their debut extended play Casuarina is a warm and psychedelic experience which weaves between instrumental dream odysseys, club ravers and feel-good bops. There are obvious touches of disco, psychedelia and jazz, but there is something ‘other’ to Casuarina. In just a short space of time, the band was invited to play at the 2024 festivals Strawberry Fields and Melbourne International Jazz Festival, whilst garnering a reputation for selling out their live shows around town.
