Join us on Sunday Nov 6, 2011 at the Abbotsford Convent for the annual WORLD VEGAN DAY
Melbourne event, a celebration of personal health, our environment, and the ethical treatment of
animals.
The WVD Melbourne team is busily preparing and planning for our greatest festival to date. With
informative talks and seminars, delicious cooking classes, vegan speed dating (that’s right!), live
music, a kids zone, and a huge selection of vegan-friendly products and services, there really is
something for everyone.
Event spokesperson Mark Doneddu says, “Everyday Australians are becoming increasingly
aware of our community’s responsibility in protecting our environment, and are demanding fair
treatment of animals. Rather than preaching, the event showcases real solutions to our
environmental, personal health, and animal welfare concerns. I also suggest you get there early
for Melbourne’s best cupcakes and veggie pies before they sell out!”
Join in the annual celebration of healthy, ethical, and compassionate living in Melbourne. Peruse
through the marketplace of more than 100 stallholders and activities offering vegan-friendly
products, sample some of the yummy food on offer, be informed about vegan and environmental lifestyle choices at one of the many talks and seminars, or maybe even meet your perfect match in speed dating. You don’t have to be a vegan or vegetarian to join in the fun; we invite all members of the community to join in this day, so don’t forget to bring your friends and family!
