In May 2011, Celadore entered Melbourne's Red Door Sounds to record their sophomore EP, solely intent on leaving with a recording that captured them at their very best, as a live band.

Released in October 2011 through Popboomerang Records/MGM, 'The Bright And Blue' EP has received widespread critical acclaim. Beat Magazine proclaimed it as "an EP that could easily be a late contender for one of the best local releases of the year", while The Dwarf echoed those remarks calling the EP "one of the year’s most exciting local releases".

The EP's first single 'Kinks In Armour' was warmly received by community radio and the music media. With airplay on Triple J, FBI, RRR, PBS, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide, Edge FM and SYNfm as well as featuring on Channel V's 'Most Request' show, the release of 'Kinks In Armour' paved the way for Celadore to embark on 2 extensive national tours to round out 2011.

'The Bright And Blue' also marks the first production effort by Chris Cheney (frontman of iconic Australian band The Living End), who's guidance and influence allowed the band to focus on creating the organic, live sounding record they set out to make.

“Celadore are a band to watch… Neil Finn meets 'The Bends' era Radiohead meets You Am I. For a relatively young band, they possess a sense of melody and a depth to their songwriting that’s beyond their years. They are really great players who have found their own sound.” - Chris Cheney.

Produced by Cheney, engineered by Luke Postill (Children Collide, Red Riders) and mixed by Woody Annison (Children Collide, Red Riders, Screamfeeder), 'The Bright and Blue' is out now through Popboomerang Records/MGM.

"Put simply, Celadore are your new favourite band. 'The Bright and Blue' is an excellent release from a band that should now be on everyone’s radar." Billy Geary - The 59th Sound

"Celadore have always had talent and known what to do with it, but this could be the making of them. And there should be no complaints about that." Ross Clelland - Drum Media

Listen back to Everybody Moves with Lukie D, 7-8pm for a live set from Celadore.
