The King Cannons road is long and winding, nearly 36 months veering through remote parts of rural NZ and the UK all the way to their current HQ: Melbourne, Australia.
It's a simple ethos that hasn't changed since day one. Soul food. Six good friends coming together to create music crafted from their many different individual influences and inspirations.
The result is ferocious.
From Springsteen to The Clash, Chuck Berry to the ease of a Jamaican Sunday, King Cannons play with ferocity and passion but maintain a certain chill that exudes classic cool.
Its music for everyone who shares in that sentiment. It's immediate and impacting, always on point, and exactly what you need to get you moving.
Following the success of their self titled debut EP featuring the singles 'Take the rock' and 'Teenage Dreams', King Cannons dove into the studio and have recently completed tracking their debut album with producer Tom Larkin (Shihad) and engineer Steve Schram (Cat Empire, The Vasco Era). The first single 'Stand Right up' is out now and the much anticipated album is due in early 2012.
After a highly successful national tour supporting The Living End, King Cannons are back in the rehearsal room preparing for headline tours, new singles and festival appearances to round out 2011.
"King Cannons were nothing less than a revelation, track them down online, download their singles, buy their merch and pray for a speedy return". XPRESS
