Melbourne four-piece Lower Plenty present their second album 'Hard Rubbish'; a striking collection of memorable folk-influenced songs, occasionally fragile in sound but always robust in arrangment. The band itself comprises members of other well known Melbourne acts, including UV Race, Total Control, Deaf Wish, Ice Claw, and Dick Diver, and the strength of their experience is on full display on 'Hard Rubbish'. The analogue warmth of the album arises from the eight-track reel-to-reel recordings, which were completed in just one session.
