The aim of the Blues Performer of the Year Contest (BPOY) is to find the best possible blues band/artist/s to represent the MBAS and Australia in Memphis, Tennessee, USA at the International Blues Challenge 29th January – 2nd February 2013.
The 17 entrants will compete in 3 heats; 7-11pm Mon 22nd, Tues 23rd and Wed 24th October. The first and second place getters from each heat will make up the six acts to perform in the finals.
The heats will be held at the Royal Standard Hotel, 333 William St West Melbourne, $10 entry ($8 MBAS/PBS/WOW members). You can book a table to come along and support the entrants by contacting the hotel ph: 9328 2295 email: info@royalstandardhotel.com.au
