Perth singer/songwriter Abbe May is truly one of Australian music’s chameleon’s. After a couple of blues albums, she went into straight out Rock n Roll on her 2011 album, the wonderful Design Desire. Now has thrown us another curve ball with her latest album Kiss My Apocalypse. It’s 80’s Synth Pop all the way. On paper, it might sound like an odd step but after one listen, it seems to make sense. It starts with the sounds of a heartbeat, leading into Tantric Romantic which begins a very sensual electronic pop experience. The album is definitely a grower but very addictive once you get into it. Give it a go as you won’t be disappointed!
