It’s a draw.... again! For the third time in history and for the second year running... neither team is taking home the Cup. The 2013 Reclink Community Cup was played out today at Elsternwick Park in perfect sunny June weather, with both teams drawing the biggest crowd in the event’s twenty year history with the official attendance at an estimated 10,000 punters.

In what was a tight contest all match, Stew Farrell of the Megahertz kicked a magical goal after the final siren to level the scores with The Rockdogs, who were leading by a whisker at the end of each quarter throughout the day.

The final scoreboard result was Megahertz : 4.4.28 and The Rockdogs : 4.4.28, with over $100,000 for Reclink Australia - another event record.

Liam ‘Banjo’ O’Shannessy from The Rockdogs again won the Stephen Connelly Award (Best On Ground) this year.

Kicking off the day’s musical treats just after gates opened was Justine Clarke who was joined by The Rebelles band, with many children enjoying her performance as well as the many family-friendly activities on site. Local act Super Wild Horses followed; then hitting stage at half time was King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. Post match entertainment was the legendary Beasts Of Bourbon performing a blistering live set.

To fire up the crowd, Tim Rogers was joined by Kat Spazzy to perform the song Pub by Cosmic Psychos in lieu of the national anthem before the bounce.
