Eight Revolutions is the debut release from Melbourne Afro-funk 8-piece, The Seven Ups. The single is a three track album which highlights the group’s versatility and various musical stylings through this all-too-brief encounter with the band.
Eight Revolutions is the opener with a racy funk beat which showcases a series of solos through the keys, guitar and percussion sections. This track can only be played at eleven, a word of warning that playing this in a moving vehicle may just inspire a car chase.
'It Ain’t Bad' is an up-beat funk number lead through the horn section which is sure to pack the dancefloor and the final track is OMGF which has a relaxed sound to round out the album. Keep a look out for more from The Seven Ups as their debut single has certainly turned heads and got plenty of hips shaking.
