This August you’ll hear some exciting changes on PBS as we welcome some new announcers to the grid!
On Tuesdays at 7pm Glitter and Doom with Jennifer Kingwell offers a weekly dose of jazz-noir and subversive cabaret, while on Saturdays at 7 it’s time for the Prosecco Hour with Alessia Pegoli – 60 minutes of European swing and soul. At 8pm on Saturdays Cosi doubles the new-school hip-hop as Fresh Produce expands to a two-hour format.
For those with adventurous tastes you can now get your fill of avant-garde and experimental music on The Sound Barrier with Ian Parsons each Wednesday at midnight.
We also welcome some new programs between 2am and 6am.
On alternate Thursday mornings it’s retro, doom and biker rock ‘n’ roll on Dirty Denim with Gram, the Son of Sam; Friday mornings we welcome Sigrid and Eclectic Ladyland, a show that features music by women, for women and about women; every second Saturday morning at 2 Vanessa Hill explores the dark, magical side of music in The Witching Hour; and every alternate Monday Nick Brown kicks off your week with four hours of post-punk, fuzz and outsider alternatives on Lonely Stretch.
Check pbsfm.org.au for full details and of course keep it locked to PBS 106.7FM or stream us online.
