Beginning with some background about ground-breaking Melbourne based bluesman Dutch Tilders, Y Blues? traces the history of blues music in Australia, and particularly in Melbourne. In this engaging short documentary, Director Amanda Dweck meets with founding members of the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society, hears the stories behind some of the key venues in the Melbourne blues scene and interviews current blues heavyweights Fiona Boyes, Lloyd Spiegel and Geoff Achison.

Amanda Dweck will be at the screening in person, joining Helen Jennings from Roots of Rhythm for a Q+A to give added insight into the inspiration behind and making of this fantastic grass roots doco.

Just to sweeten the deal, PBS members receive a free pot of Thunder Road beer or glass of Cake wine on entry! Members also receive a 10% discount on food and drinks all night, so don't forget your membership card.

The Spotted Mallard makes some mouth-watering food, which is available from 7pm and Geoff Achison's set will start at 7:30pm, so be sure to get down early! The Q+A between Helen Jennings and Amanda Dweck starts at 8:30pm and the screening begins at 8:45pm.
