Loop Project Space & Bar and it records come together to curate an evening of exciting live electronic music, featuring collaborations from the label’s magnificent, eclectic electronic artists and performances from some of their favourite Melbourne musicians.
The night will feature the likes of Miles Brown (from thermin drenched horror tones), Geryon (electronic devcore pop), SHOUSE and special guest, ASPS and Kandere, plus Sow Discord and Nina Buchanan. These tunes will be one-off, one-of-kind glimpses into the creative relationships fostered through Melbourne’s perpetually evolving creative community. This is an 18+ event

Bennetts Lane Jazz Club unleashes a swathe of great jazz to explore and enjoy for MMW’s Live Music Safari. Featuring a Postmodern JazzBox, Hue Blanes and his sassy friends will workshop, create and digitally share unique takes on some of the most significant, life-changing songs of our time.
Featuring Xani Kolac and her innovative duo the Twoks, and the big brass spanky sounds of the Horns of Leroy, expect a huge night of the very best live jazz the Melbourne Music Week Live Safari has to offer. This is an 18+ event

The organisers behind St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival deliver their third official Live Music Safari event for Melbourne Music Week. Staying true to Laneway’s objective of hosting forward-thinking artists in unique locations, this showcase features some of Melbourne’s top emerging artists. Featuring live electronica, 100 per cent live jazz improvisation and beat making with a self-sampling vocoder rap analog synthesiser battle of science-fiction proportions. This is an 18+ event

From their early beginnings in what is now The Mercat Basement – it was here that they had their first show and launched the Espionage brand – The Operatives return to their old hood to celebrate their new record label as part of MMW’s Live Music Safari. The first 200 through the door receive their debut 7″ featuring JPSXHOOVES.

Dance Party Pyrotechnics Association are back with another face melter of a party as part of MMW’s Live Music Safari. The disco inferno will feature the 11-piece Dance Party house band, as well as exclusive performances from Cocoa Noire, Bryce Lawrence and resident Dance Party disc burners Dance Party DJs. Those gathered will form the kindling and combust into a tempestuous fire of sweat, energy and rhythm. Feel the burn.

North Melbourne newcomer The Last Chance Rock & Roll Bar presents a celebration of the Melbourne’s live underground music scene.
