Bopstrecth are an ensemble formed of abundant enthusiasm. The group is collectively led and began humbly by jam sessions in a lounge room, followed by performances on the porch of a Fitzroy terrace. Australia’s premier jazz musicians playing the repertoire that originally got them hooked on music. Compositions by Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis and Cannonball Adderly feature heavily in this group, whose focus is on the classic numbers of the 1950’s bebop era.
