Pojama People

Local desert stoner rock group Planet of the 8s is back after an extended hiatus. With some new material to share, the three piece are heading to the Old Bar on November 13. Tune in to Pojama People tonight as Chris Pearson chats with the band about their rebirth, and what we can expect at their upcoming show.

Melbourne-based trio Khan melds hazy psychedelia with heavy stoner riffs and a penchant for progressive rhythms and almost dirge-like crescendos. Tonight on Pojama People, Chris Pearson will catch up with the band about their 20-date European tour in September/October, along with their upcoming show at The Leadbeater Hotel on November 20. Tune in from 8.30pm to hear from Khan.

On the second half of Pojama People, Chris Pearson will be chatting with UK artist Steven Wilson. Releasing his ninth album 'Requiem for a Village' this November, the record narrows its focus to a tiny, unknown corner buried somewhere off map in the British Isles. The story that sits at the heart of Steven’s ninth album steps back from the modern world and ventures into the unfamiliar, settling in a village that exists beyond time and place. Tune in to hear more about Steven's new album.
