Program Information
Roots Of Rhythm
Helen Jennings
A diverse mix of blues, roots & jazz, classic and contemporary, with an emphasis on Australian new releases. Interviews, both local & international, are a major component, including ‘live to airs’.
Lots of news and views, with a weekly gig guide.
I love turning listeners onto the music that I love, and given the diversity of the mix, enjoy the feedback of their reactions. It could be classic New Orleans Jazz, or evocative blues piano; it could be a community choir, or some real low-down dirty rhythm; music that will lift your soul. Music chosen with passion that has sustained Roots Of Rhythm for 30 years.
