A key figure in Australia’s alternative rock’n’roll scene of the 70s and 80s, John Dowler’s Vanity Project is the culmination of Dowler’s previous works. Formed in 2014, JDVP have steadily built a profile in Melbourne’s inner-city scene over the past decade, and their third album, 'Existential Friend', has just dropped. Getting back together for a very special show at MEMO Music Hall on February 9th, and returning to their spiritual home of St Kilda, is Zydeco Jump, the blues band that's been around since 1989. It will be the first time in 30 years that the extraordinary multi-instrumentalist and singer, Gerry Hale, joins the band, and they promise it will be a night to remember.
