Harmony-folk act Honeymoon Bridge creates a vivid sound spectre of life in rural Australia. They drop in to PBS for an intimate chat and to play a couple of songs on Stone Love.

The Resonant Heart is a multi-disciplinary ensemble of international women and female-identifying artists who present 'The Heart Whispers & Whirls' at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Nov 7th. It’s hard to know where to begin with Oregan-born Grammy winning, jazz bassist, vocalist, and composer esperanza spalding. She is a music virtuoso, dominating the jazz world and sharing the stage with other legends such as Stevie Wonder, Prince and Herbie Hancock. She’ll be in Melbourne this October to play at Hamer Hall for the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, but first she’ll be stopping by Jazz on Saturday for an intimate chat with Andrew Young.

Mimmo Cavallaro is a traditional Calabrian singer-songwriter from Southern Italy. He's presenting a concert with his band, at the Q Room in Thomastown on Saturday 2 November. Elvira Andreoli from The Rustica Project visits the Global Village to talk about Mimmo and his influence on her own music.

‘Just My Luck’ is the new album from Melbourne-based musician BATTS, the musical project of Tanya Batt. Having toured recently with Sharon Van Etten, Nilüfer Yanya and The Teskey Brothers, BATTS returns with a new album that offers something for everyone, with the first half upbeat and punchy, then a melancholic turn towards the end. The band formed in Melbourne in the 80’s and grabbed inspiration from an era of groundbreaking production and composition. During the late 70s in Melbourne, triple R presenter Alan Bamford recorded many punk and post-punk underground bands, including The Take, Morpions, Ronnie and the Rhythm Boys and many more. These bands were part of a 80’s sub scene called ‘Little Bands’, and a compilation LP was put together, along with a booklet to champion these Melbourne bands.
