Coda Chroma (aka Kate Lucas) creates music that sways between cinematic folk and baroque pop, with otherworldly harmonies, honest and existential lyrics, suspended in deeply nuanced production.

Sequential Zero has unveiled their new, highly-anticipated full-length release, Zero Sum Game. While musically playing a fond tribute to the darkwave genre, the lyrics on Zero Sum Game cover a wide range of subjects from ancient spells, environmental concerns to interpersonal politics and depression.

PBS is incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Ollie Olsen, a prominent multi-instrumentalist in Australia's post-punk scene. 

For over four decades, the influential Ollie altered the underground scene forever. Known for pushing boundaries, Ollie was the mastermind behind '70s post-punk bands The Young Charlatans and Whirlywirld, and countless bands and projects to follow, including Orchestra of Skin and Bone, NO, Third Eye, Hugo Klang, Taipan Tiger Girls, and Max Q, alongside INXS singer Michael Hutchence.

This week’s PBS Feature Album is the debut album Stiletto by six-piece hypnotic dance-punk ensemble Gut Health.

Recorded in 2023 with long-term collaborator Julian Cue (CIVIC, Screensaver) and Gut Health’s Dom Willmott on a 24-track reel-to-reel tape machine, Gut Health’s debut full-length offering is an immersive ten-track foray into dancefloor-inducing soundscapes and punchy prowess, with songs oscillating between infectious up-tempo numbers, hypnotic bliss and chaotic noise edging precariously toward collapse.

Since forming in 2012, five-piece UK jazz outfit Ezra Collective have blossomed into one of Britain’s most eclectic and acclaimed music acts. Their body of work has so far blended sounds that have defined contemporary London. By doing so, the group have become a reflection, as well as a product, of the rich array of music, cultures and people who have found their way to the city and made it their home.
