Friends and brothers alike, instrumental dance outfit Intermood embrace the raw edge reminiscent of their formative musical experiences on Naarm/Melbourne’s dancefloors. Their debut extended play Casuarina is a warm and psychedelic experience which weaves between instrumental dream odysseys, club ravers and feel-good bops. There are obvious touches of disco, psychedelia and jazz, but there is something ‘other’ to Casuarina.

NYAA WA means 'take care' in Charlie's mob’s GuriNgai language, and the songs on the album emphasise the importance of taking care of lands, waters, and wildlife, and the need to keep culture alive, tell stories, and preserve sacred sites from development.
