NAIDOC Week 2025 runs from Sunday July 6 - Sunday July 13, marking 50 years of the week-long celebrations. This year's NAIDOC theme - The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy - celebrates achievements of the past and the bright future ahead.
A number of PBS programs will be sharing NAIDOC Week specials this year, kicking off on Sunday July 6 when Lee Gunn will present a 100% First Nations edition of Storytellers (6am - 9am). That evening from 5pm on Global Village, Roger Holdsworth hosts a NAIDOC Week special, in a tender tribute to music made on Country.

DJ Yarra - born and raised on Wathaurong country, hailing from Central QLD - has a stacked calendar including a Bodriggy takeover for Leaps and Bounds on July 26, and a spot on the line up of FreeForm festival on October 10. But first, she joins Elle on Headhunters Monday July 7 for a chat.
From 9am - 11am Tuesday July 8, Noongar artist Poli Pearl co-hosts Mystic Brew with Mike Gurrieri, and from midnight - 2am, Ryan Evans hosts a NAIDOC Week special edition of Tyrannocoreus, featuring an interview with Jimmy Kyle from local First Nations indie punk band, Chasing Ghosts.
On Wednesday July 9's edition of The Afterglow, Lyndelle welcomes Naarm-based Noongar artist Bumpy, who has just released her latest single 'Maambakoort'. In the song, she reflects on the powerful yet dramatic way she felt when entering the saltwater of her Nanny’s country.
Thursday July 10 from 3pm, Ernie continues an annual tradition; presenting a NAIDOC Week special showcasing a plethora of First Nations country artists on Swinging Doors.
From 3pm Friday July 11, don't miss a special edition of The Breakdown featuring Krauatungalung (Gunai) / Gunditjmara man, Robbie Thorpe. An Aboriginal political activist, Uncle Robbie has worked tirelessly - in his life and through his 3CR radio shows (including current program Bunjil's Fire) - to focus the community's attention on the core injustices that plague this country. He joins DJ Manchild and guest announcer Zvi Belling in conversation about 'Our Warrior: The Story of Robbie Thorpe', a new documentary about his life and work.
From 5pm Friday, Richie1250 chats with Eleanor Jawurlngali, a Mudburra and Garrawa woman from Marlinja in the Northern Territory, and plays two hours of tracks by Indigenous artists on Stone Love.

National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
