PBS 106.7FM is pleased to announce Rock-A-Bye Baby on Thursday, April 12 with Zimbabwean born and Melbourne based singer songwriter Thando.

The songstress released her much anticipated debut EP Digital Love Letters in June 2016, and along with a showcase set at BIGSOUND, music from the EP has gone on to national radio play. Later in 2016, she went on to play the coveted role of Shug Avery in StageArt's sold out season of The Color Purple, as well as opening for Maxwell at the Palais for his black SUMMER nights tour alongside PBS'own MzRizk.

With a slew of festival appearances in the summer including Strawberry Fields, 2017 welcomed the Melbourne singer with a sold out show at Chapel off Chapel. With appearances at St Kilda Festival and sharing the stage with Australian acts such as REMI and Sampa The Great, this multi dimensional performer is looking toward solidifying her status as Melbourne’s newest first lady of R&B.

PBS’ Rock-A-Bye-Baby Sessions are for adults and kids alike and feature artists from all genres and cultures. It’s our way of helping breed the next generation of punters in music-mad Melbourne. Rock-A-Bye Baby is a no-frills, daytime show for families of all ages and your chance to see a real band without fear of sugary drinks or costumed characters. PBS’ Rock-A-Bye-Baby music sessions welcome noise, encourage crawling and expect dancing!
