This week's PBS Feature Album is Abreast, the fourth studio album from sister duo The Maes. 

Maggie and Elsie Rigby bring modern folk to life with lush harmonies and acoustic mastery on guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo, drawing their audiences in like your sweetest and scariest friend.

Entries have opened for the annual UpStart Award, closing at midnight on August 31.

The UpStart Award is an annual grant for emerging Victorian singer-songwriters. Each year the winner of the award receives a grant of $10,000, with 2nd place receiving $3000 and 3rd place receiving $2000. The remaining 7 artists, who make up the top 10, will receive a grant of $1000. The award is funded by a music loving family in Melbourne and the winner will be decided by a panel of local artists and music experts.

NAIDOC Week 2025 runs from Sunday July 6 - Sunday July 13, marking 50 years of the week-long celebrations. A number of PBS programs will be sharing NAIDOC Week specials this year.

This week's PBS Feature Album is SOGOLO, the second 21st century release by Zambian Zamrock pioneers (with the acronym 'We Intend To Cause Havoc'), WITCH. 

SOGOLO means “future" or "front” echoing a longstanding ethic of the band, dating back to their 1980 disco album, Moving On. WITCH’s songs often originate from jam sessions, and this second album—following 2023’s Zango—marks another powerful return after a 40-year hiatus. Recorded at Big Snuff Studio in Berlin, it’s every bit as edgy, vibrant, and infectious as its predecessor.
