It’s a sound system special this month at Jamaica Jump Up, and that means the Gasometer Hotel is going to be shaking to the vibrations of a heavy hi fi system built by local dub specialist Adrian Hough.
Originating from High Wycombe in the UK, Adrians Wall started building his sound system in late 2007, establishing a residency that ran over the next 4 years that saw him hosting dances with Channel One Sound System, Aba Shanti-I and Congo Natty to name just a few. Adrians Wall brings a heavyweight vibe each and every time they set up their giant speakers, and Jamaica Jump Up will be no exception!
Stepping up behind the wheel of this powerful bass boom box will be PBS 106.7FM’s own Mohair Slim (Blue Juice), Rick Howe (Riddim Yard), Jesse I (Babylon Burning) and Lloyd Briggs (Deeep Space), as well as Miss Fee and the master creator himself, Adrian Hough!
Also dropping in on the night to toast this low frequency party will be the great Pat Powell (SYD), from The Melbourne Ska Orchestra.
Party from 9pm-3am – Door sales only – get down early to avoid missing out!
